HM Government HubCanary Wharf
London, United Kingdom
Purpose: The main government hub in Canary Wharf is a modern, purpose‑built office complex developed as part of the UK Government’s Government Hubs Programme, which brings together staff from multiple departments in large shared workplaces outside central London. The hubs have been designed to bring civil servants together in flexible, sustainable office space with modern facilities, helping to decentralise government offices from central London. This government office at 10 South Colonnade was the original hub in Croydon, primarily houses a mix of civil service offices including HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC), Ministry of Justice (MOJ), Ofgem, Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) and Government’s Actuary Department staff.
Branding: Naming and signage for spaces in the building was inspired by local pioneers, imagery used for the walls were of places staff were relocating from across the UK.
